The Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), in partnership with the Veterans Health Administration and the National Cemetery Administration provide benefits and services to service connected disabled veterans in a responsive, timely and compassionate manner in recognition of their service to the Nation. The VBA have ten major program offices within VBA that oversee, implement programs, provide oversight, and assist in delivering benefits and services to service connected disabled veterans. One of the main services the VBA provide are Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Their team of highly qualified Counselors assist service connected disabled veterans with a variety of services such as Employment services, Career and education counseling, cognitive and behavior therapy, access to proper healthcare, life coaching services and rehabilitation Counseling.
My Client Demographic Focus, Confidentiality and Limitations.
As a Vocational Rehabilitation Licensed Counselor for the VBA, I provide services to young adult service connected disabled veterans age 21-55 with a 10% and above disability rating, other than honorable, general with honorable conditions and honorable discharges regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, culture, ethnicities and religious orientations.
I specialize in assisting young adult women veterans with service connected disabilities in particular. I am fluent in Spanish and English and also a service connected disabled veteran so I can relate to the veteran culture and the challenges they face after the military.
All personal information discussed in sessions will be private and confidential with the exception of suicidal ideation and suicidal attempts. Per the VBA guidelines, suicidal ideations and suicidal attempts have to be reported to professional clinicians who will immediately assist but will still remain private and confidential from others with the exception of the professional clinicians that will assist.
