About

About Me

My name is Dr. Natoya Wayne, and I am a US Marine Veteran and a Vocational Rehabilitation Licensed Counselor for service-connected disabled Veterans for the VBA.

I graduated from Ashford University with a bachelor of arts in business with a minor in psychology, my masters of arts in psychology and Psy.D. in counseling from the University of Arizona Global Campus. Besides my licensure in counseling,  I have completed various trainings and certifications. For example, I am a certified life coach with the International Coach Federation(ICF), certified family mediator, motivational speaker and certified hypnotherapist. I also completed a VA pathways program internship in counseling assisting Veterans.

Throughout my professional and academic experiences; I was able to obtain wealth of immense knowledge and about the different variations of counseling, mental health and conducted several research regarding the Veteran Affairs Health Care System and the current obstacles and challenges they face servicing Veterans.

Besides my relevant educational qualifications as well as experiences working with Veterans, I am very passionate about helping Veterans be the best versions of themselves, as I can relate to the challenges many faced after transitioning from the Military.  Some of the challenges many disabled Veterans face are employment, educational and access to proper healthcare. This is why I have dedicated my life purpose to help address these issues as a Counselor for disabled Veterans.

As a current Vocational Rehabilitation Licensed Counselor for the VBA, I have assisted disabled Veterans from all different cultures and backgrounds with the resources the VBA offers. I work with other military affiliated agencies like the Wounded Warriors Association, AMVETs and American Legion to assist disabled veterans with disability compensation claims and counseling. I am also a VBA liaison for many different organizations and education programs that will employ and enroll disabled Veterans. And lastly, I work with my other professional colleagues like Licensed therapists and Licensed Clinical Social Workers to assist eligible disabled Veterans throughout their enrollment for vocational rehabilitation services.
